19: “Requiem” by M. Ward

M. Ward has written some music, and has the pedigree to support the notion he’s good at it, working with the likes of Bright Eyes, Cat Power, Neko Case, and My Morning Jacket to name a few. His first album, Duet for Guitars #2 came out in 1999. He’s more of a studio musician than a live performer, so enjoy him at his best by downloading “Requiem,” a rousing tribute to a man we should all feel like we know.
Wikipedia quotes him as saying “Amazing Grace” is probably his favorite song.
